Fire Gel Bird Repellent

Bird Free Optical Gel works by creating a visual and tactile deterrent for birds, discouraging them from landing or roosting on treated surfaces. Here’s how it works:

1. Visual Deterrent: The gel is formulated to mimic the appearance of fire or smoke. Birds perceive these visual cues as signs of danger, indicating a potential threat. When they see the gel, they are more likely to avoid the area and seek a different landing spot.
2. Tactile Discomfort: The gel has a sticky texture that birds find uncomfortable to land on. When they come into contact with the gel, they experience a sensation that is unpleasant and discourages them from staying on the treated surfaces. The sticky texture also makes it difficult for birds to perch or roost, further deterring their presence.
3. Non-Harmful: Bird Free Optical Gel is designed to be a humane bird deterrent. It does not contain any toxic substances or chemicals that would cause harm to the birds. Instead, it utilizes visual and tactile cues to create an inhospitable environment for birds, encouraging them to seek alternative locations.

Bird Free Optical Gel is designed to be a humane bird deterrent and does not harm pigeons or other birds. The gel is made from a combination of materials that create a sticky surface, which birds find uncomfortable to land on. It does not contain any toxic substances or chemicals that would cause harm to the birds.

The gel works by creating a visual deterrent that mimics the appearance of fire or smoke, which birds perceive as a danger. When they see the gel, they are less likely to land on the treated surfaces. However, if a bird does come into contact with the gel, it will simply feel the sticky texture and discomfort, prompting it to move on to a different location.

It’s important to note that Bird Free Optical Gel should be used in accordance with local regulations and guidelines regarding bird control. It’s always a good idea to consult with professionals or experts in bird control to ensure that you’re using the product appropriately and responsibly.

Bird Free Optical Gel is designed to provide long-lasting bird deterrence. The gel remains effective for an extended period of time once applied correctly. However, the exact duration of its effectiveness can vary depending on several factors, including the environmental conditions and the behaviour of the bird species in the area. The product is designed to last a minimum of five years but we have had many sites that have had Firgel/Bird-Free installed for much longer and are still going strong with no reported issues.

Yes, you can but there is a method to install it correctly and this depends on the level of infestation of pigeons.  We have seen a lot of DIY installations and they have all been wrong and have had no effect on the pigeons.  Our specialist bird team are able to install Firegel/Bird-Free correctly and safely.
